I’m starting a new thing. Let’s hope it’s useful!
I find myself being someone who “knows stuff & things”, and I figured I’d share the wealth with the hope that it helps someone. Somewhere. At some point.
Suddenly, I’m reminded of one of my favorite lines from Game of Thrones:
I’m what you would call a “Jill of all trades” and have had quite a lot of diverse experiences and roles, thus creating opportunities to learn new skills and tricks of the trade. What trade? All things administrative, operational, logistical, and overall, anything that involves organization. So, what do you think? Want to dive into learning a thing or two from a self-taught, competitive learner who wants to branch out and connect with folks across this odd, yet fascinating world? OK! Let’s do this!
“Top Tips Thursday”, #1
👩🏻💻 Do you use Chrome? If so, this one’s for you!
Do you find yourself being someone who has a TON of tabs open in Chrome? So much so that you’re constantly tabbing around trying to find the one you need to actually use, but you can’t…. because you don’t close your tabs, ever, because why would you? You need them and you fear that if they go away, you’ll forget what you were working on, what shoes you were getting ready to buy, or even worse, lose complete track of your life. OK, that last one might be a bit dramatic, but being someone who relies on bookmarks as much as I rely on my Coke Zero, I equally rely on what I’m working on every single day. And, every day is different. And, every day has different types of “things” I need to keep at my fingertips.
Introducing the lifesaver known as Toby for Chrome. It’s a game changer.
Toby organizes all of your tabs into (1) one central tab, that’s always there, like your best friend. Perhaps even more reliable. It’s essentially a Chrome extension that allows you to create sections for all the tabs you use on a regular basis and allows you to customize it to suit your fancy. It’s especially helpful when you’re working on a project and you need to have certain sites open, ready to use, and you just can’t forget what sites these are. Well, Toby for the win. Say you’re working on an event and with all the moving parts, you just can’t remember all the internal files you were working on but you’d really like them to be consolidated into one central place so you don’t completely fall off track. Toby for the win! Again, it’s a lifesaver!
Trust me, you’ll love Toby. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and will honestly give you a bit of security knowing that IF you save your tab(s), it WILL be there when you need them, all by going to your trusty Toby tab. Click on the “Better than Bookmarks” image above or click HERE to add Toby to Chrome today! You can thank me later. 😉
Come back next Thursday for another round of “Top Tips Thursday”!
See you then!
