This blog is our little slice of the internet to chronicle all of our memories, milestones, and mishaps (there are many)!
We live in the wonderful city of Raleigh, North Carolina with our two kiddos, Harrison and Gwen. Mommy & Daddy E have been together since what feels like the beginning of time, i.e. 1995. We were high school sweethearts that defied all the odds and still act like giddy, lovesick kids to this day. #PuppyLoveIsReal
We might be biased, but we believe we have the BEST kiddos ever. Seriously. They are our greatest achievements and provide us with endless joy. Whether it’s the crazed dance parties or singing at the top of our lungs in the car, or just simply staying home all day cuddling in our PJs, we’re always having fun. We’re always laughing. And, we’re always here for each other.
Let’s meet the kiddos!
Harrison is our very energetic, loving, exuberant, and silly little boy who is 9 years old. He makes us laugh and smile so much that our cheeks hurt! Harrison, like the majority of other boys, loves video games… but I dare to say that my son has a bit of a genuineness to him that astounds us on a regular basis. He’s beaten video games in record time, advanced levels far faster and more effective than his father, and he doesn’t miss a beat! And, he might be slightly obsessed with Roblox, Among Us, Minecraft, and Friday Night Funkin. He’s an amazing little boy and I’m so proud to be his mom. The future is bright with this one!
Gwendolyn “Gwen“, our fearless little girl, is 5 years old and has quite a personality. Sassy, yet sweet, and extremely affectionate. She was named after two very important women in my life and their spirits are visible in her daily. Into everything Princesses? You’d better believe it. She bases her opinion on whether or not she likes a dress based on how it twirls. Twirls are important! She dresses up on a regular basis, is into makeup and all things girly, and plays pretend mommy to her baby dolls. She’s the apple of my eye and definitely my little mini-me! We’ll have our hands full with this one for sure and I know with 100% certainty that she won’t be allowed to date until she’s 25. Truth.
I’ve always loved blogging and had a “lifestyle” blog for years, however, I wanted to have a more family-friendly blog where I could chronicle my kids’ milestones and special moments. This was mostly for archive purposes (because who scrapbooks anymore?) and to share with family, but to also connect with other parents who share similar interests, i.e. the crazy world of parenting! And, being a working mom. And, being an everything to everybody. But, you know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Thanks for stopping by and getting to know us! Stay a while! And, don’t be afraid to reach out personally, comment on the goodness that is our life, or just shoot the breeze with me.
We’ll be in good company!
This nifty bit of internet space will be our way of documenting our crazy, love-filled world. I’ll blog about our kids, their activities, my work and my activities, and life in general. I won’t blog about politics, religion, etc. Nope. Not going to touch it. It’s our family blog. It’s lighthearted, fun, comical, and at times, maybe a bit sad. But, it’s real and it’s all ours.
